Hi,
we have been using Vertica database since mid-2012. We have migrated universes from Oracle to Vertica.
We are using Generic ODBC connection. It requires 64-bit Vertica client-driver on server and 32-bit Vertica client-driver for worksations using ClientTools.
After that some modifications need to be done in 2 odbc.prm files and in universe Parameters.
Works fine and still waiting for SAP to start supporting Vertica 
.
