Release service order in badi workorder update

Hi All,

I need to release a service order on create (IW31) . I wrote the code for changing the system status using FM STATUS_CHANGE_INTERN in BADI WORKORDER~UPDATE in method BEFORE_UPDATE. The status gets changed to REL in the order but still I can see the release flag when I open the order again ? Any suggestions?
