SAP B1 Connection

Dear Experts,

is it still possible to use ad hoc in the connection between SAP B1 9.0 PL14 standalone server (OS win 7 pro X64) and SAP B1 mobile application 1.10.1 on iPad ? I never see that anymore in the sap note or B1 mobile application setup document.
